NUR 1050 - Dosage Calculation for Nurses 1 hr
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the concepts of clinical reasoning and safety as related to dosage calculation. Emphasis is placed on the skills necessary to safely calculate medication dosages for adult clients. The course will focus on medication preparation, measurement conversion, routes of administration, reconstitution of medications, safe dosage, interpretation of medication orders and labels, and high-risk medications. Prerequisite(s): MAT 1310
