NRN 4600 - Evidence-Based Practice for RNs

2 hrs

A writing intensive course that expounds upon the role of the professional nurse in evidence-based practice. This course provides RN students with an understanding of issues pertaining to global health. Focus will be placed on utilization of scientific inquiry to achieve cost-effective, high quality patient outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on economic, social, political, and professional trends in relation to their implications for a continually changing practice and utilization of the research process to enhance their current nursing practice.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the RN-BSN program; BUS 2160  or MAT 2700  or PSY 3510
