Requirements

The courses required for a major are composed of a minimum of 35 hours in chemistry, including

CHE 111 - Inorganic Chemistry I Credit Hours: 4
CHE 112 - Inorganic Chemistry II Credit Hours: 4
CHE 211 - Organic Chemistry I Credit Hours: 4
CHE 212 - Organic Chemistry II Credit Hours: 4
CHE 301 - Analytical Chemistry Credit Hours: 4
15 hours of upper-level chemistry courses

Notes:

Students are encouraged strongly to complete courses in biology, physics, and mathematics. Chemistry majors earn the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
