Requirements

Transition One:	Admission to Teacher Education
Transition Two:	Approval for Residency I, application for Teacher Candidate 101 license, and Professional Courses
Teacher candidate should have a overall GPA of 2.75 and completed all necessary course work before entering in Residency I
Transition Three:	Completion of Residency I and Residency II (student teaching internship)
Transition Four:	Graduation and Licensure

Elementary education majors are required to complete an interdisciplinary concentration with a grade of C or above, consisting of the following courses:

MAT 116 - Fundamental Mathematics I Credit Hours: 3
MAT 316 - Fundamental Mathematics II Credit Hours: 3
Social Studies elective

One of the Following Courses

ART 319 - Art in the Elementary School Credit Hours: 3
MUE 320 - Music in Elementary Schools: Education Major Credit Hours: 3
or
PED 338 - Health and Physical Education in Elementary Schools Credit Hours: 3
BUS 102 - Fundamental Computer Concepts and Applications Credit Hours: 3
or
EDU 325 - Technology in Education Credit Hours: 3
or Proficiency exam
