NUR 100 - LPN to BSN Nursing TransitionCredit Hours: 2 Lecture Hours: 2.50 This course presents topics associated with role transition from licensed practical nurse (LPN) to baccalaureate prepared nurse (BSN) Emphasis is placed on application of the nursing process in the BSN role. Knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of the BSN role in specialty areas are discussed. The student will be allowed to sit for the following advanced placement exams upon completion of the course: Fundamentals of Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Women’s Health, and Children’s Health. Prerequisite(s): Admission to nursing major and current, unencumbered LPN license
