PSY 401 - Trauma Counseling Techniques

This course is focused upon the study of treatment methods for PTSD and traumatic symptoms. The course will emphasize the theory, implementation, and techniques used by evidence-based, peer-reviewed treatments for PTSD and traumatic symptoms. The rationale for the course is to introduce students to evidence-based treatments for PTSD in order to deepen their knowledge base for providing mental health services through case management or following further graduate study.
