Program Overview
The Master of Education in Physical Education is dedicated to advancing professional expertise in wellness, lifestyle management, and physical activity. Although designed for the non-licensure track, the curriculum enhances the skills of practitioners and coaches through an intensive exploration of movement science, pedagogical theory, and curriculum development. By bridging the gap between scientific research and practical application, the program prepares graduates to serve as transformative leaders and mentors who inspire health-conscious changes in their communities. Program Admission Requirements
In order for students to be admitted to the program the following admission requirements must be met: - Complete an online application Apply to Carey through Graduate Admissions
- Submit all official transcripts electronically to Graduate Admissions
- Have a GPA > 2.5 for the last 64 hours of undergraduate work or a cumulative GPA > 2.5
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Submit a memorandum of understanding (MOU) stating that the MED PE degree will NOT lead to a teaching license before registering for classes.
Transfer Credit A maximum of six hours of graduate credit may be transferred from another accredited institution. All transfer courses must be approved prior to degree application. Program Progression and Graduation Requirements
