Overview

The School of Education offers various K-12 supplemental endorsements to standard K-6 and K-12 teacher licenses as approved by the Mississippi Department of Education. A supplemental endorsement may be earned by completing prescribed coursework as indicated below. These programs have been approved for licensure by the Mississippi Department of Education. A student must be admitted to an appropriate teacher education program to take coursework leading to a supplemental endorsement. All endorsements are awarded by MDE and are subject to changes without prior notice.

Applicants must have an existing 5-year standard renewable teaching license and provide documentation of 3 years of classroom experience

Severe / Profound Disabilities (6 hrs)

This endorsement may only be added to a valid Class A license with an endorsement in mild/moderate disabilities.
