ART 4080 - Southern Art History

An historic overview of the visual, cultural, social, economic, political, and political elements that distinguish Southern regional art. This course examines the art and architecture and includes an investigation into the rich folk art and craft traditions of the South. The focus will be upon the art of Mississippi from 1720 to present.
