This program in Special Education Administration consists of three courses ( 9 hours), to prepare educators for leadership roles in educating students with disabilities. These courses constitute an emphasis in Special Education Administration for students enrolled in M.Ed., Ed.S., Ed.D, or Ph.D. programs in Educational Leadership. Students not enrolled in a degree program may complete the courses and receive a certificate of completion.

Admissions Requirements
Admission to the certificate program requires that an applicant must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university,
- Have an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a four-point scale for the last 64 hours of undergraduate work or the overall cumulative GPA presented for the bachelor’s degree, and
- Hold a current teacher’s license in Mild and Moderate K-12 or comparable license in a related field.
Curriculum
The following three courses are required for the Certificate in Special Education Administration. Classes will be delivered online and will require no synchronous meetings.
