The William Carey University Master of Biomedical Science (MBS) program began in the fall of 2009. The mission of the program is to provide a broad biomedical education, which helps students become stronger applicants to professional schools. To that end, the program provides multiple tracks of study, tailored toward preparation for the professional study of medicine, both osteopathic (DO) and allopathic (MD), dentistry, pharmacy, and other health-related sciences. MBS students have their own dedicated classes taught primarily by medical school faculty, allowing the classes to be tailored to the needs of MBS students.
