This course will examine the various roles of a nurse educator in an academic setting by analyzing competencies needed for teaching, scholarship, service, and more. Students will demonstrate the fundamental knowledge and skill sets of an academic nurse educator in higher education using innovative, evidence-based modalities. Students will investigate legal and ethical issues, learning theories, and key concepts in nursing education.
