NMB 696 - Healthcare Economics and Financial Management

This course examines health care from an economic perspective tailored for the nurse manager and executive. Emphasis is on the allocation of health care resource policies in the United States with examination of different health care programs. Within the health care industry, focus is on public and private health care funding in addition to the role of managed care systems with relation to financial management, management control systems, budgeting and nurse staffing. This is an integrated MSN-MBA course.
