RHIT to RHIA Completion Program

This program of study is designed to assist registered health information technicians (RHITs) who wish to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management. In order to meet the needs of working RHITs courses are offered in an online format. The BS in HIM degree requires successful completion of 60 hours of prerequisite and core courses and 29 hours of upper-level HIM coursework. The remaining 31 hours are awarded as credit by merit of RHIT certification. Graduates of this program are expected to be able to perform the graduate outcomes for BS in HIM students listed in the Health Information section of this catalog.
