Credit Hours: 3 In-depth study of assessment and evaluation of young children and early childhood environments for the purpose of planning developmentally appropriate instructional programs and environments for young children (birth-five). Strategies for gathering and recording information about children, including families and other professionals in the assessment process, and evaluation of environments are emphasized. Three hours lecture/discussion. One hour per week of field experience required.
