Theme Verse
Desiderium sciendi (Longing to know, Phil. 3:10)
For the past eleven years William Carey has selected an annual theme to focus our attention, as a campus, on a unified purpose. This twelfth theme is Desiderium sciendi, Latin for “longing to know.” From the very dawn of human history, man has had a God-given quest to know. WCU believes that all truth is given by God, and all truth points to God. St. Paul states in Phil. 3:10, “My goal is to know Him…” This is our desire for all of our students.
